Welcome to Newlook barbershop! We believe in transparency, especially when it comes to your data. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe (spoiler: securely!).
1. Information We Collect
We collect information primarily for the purpose of **account management** and to ensure our app doesn't unexpectedly crash (because nobody likes a surprise crash).
A. Personal Information You Provide
This data is necessary for you to use our core services, specifically to sign in and manage your account:
- Email Address and/or Phone Number: Collected via the **OTP (One-Time Password)** sign-in method or as provided by third-party services like Google/Apple.
- User ID: A unique, internal identifier created upon account creation.
B. Information Collected via Third-Party Authentication
When you use our Single Sign-On options, the following data is shared with us from the respective providers:
- Google Sign-in: We receive your Google-associated **email address** and a unique identifier.
- Apple Sign-in (for iOS users): We receive your Apple-associated **email address** (or a private relay email if you choose to hide yours) and a unique identifier.
C. Non-Personal Diagnostic Data (Crash Reporting)
We use **Sentry** for crash and diagnostic reporting. This helps us fix bugs and improve performance. This data is generally non-personal but is crucial for reliability:
- **Technical Data:** Information about your device (model, OS version), time stamps, and the state of the application at the time of a crash or error.
- **IP Address:** Temporarily collected by Sentry for rate-limiting and security, but not used to identify you personally.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for specific, legitimate business purposes:
- Authentication: To verify your identity and allow you to access your account (the whole point of Firebase Auth!).
- Account Management: To provide you with customer support, send important updates, and manage your account lifecycle.
- Service Improvement & Debugging: To monitor app performance, identify bugs, and improve stability using the data gathered by **Sentry**.
3. Data Storage and Security
Encryption in Transit: All data collected by your app and transferred to our services (including Firebase and Sentry) is **encrypted in transit** using industry-standard **TLS/HTTPS** protocols. This ensures your data is unreadable by any intercepting party.
Data Storage: Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers managed by our service providers (e.g., Google Cloud/Firebase). We retain this data as long as your account is active and for a limited time afterward for backup and administrative purposes.
4. Your Data Rights (Deletion)
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. We offer two convenient ways to exercise this right:
- In-App Deletion: You may delete your account and associated personal data directly from within the app settings.
- Direct Request: You can contact us using the methods below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and ensure your data is removed from our live systems and backups (within a standard retention period).
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party service providers to power and maintain our app. We only share the minimum necessary information required for them to perform their function:
- Firebase Authentication (Google): Used for secure sign-in (OTP, Google, Apple) and account management.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.): Used for real-time error tracking and performance monitoring to ensure a stable experience.
Each of these third parties is contractually obligated to protect your data with the same rigorous standards as we apply.
6. Children's Privacy (Under 13)
We understand that you have indicated your target audience is **13+**. Our services are not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our systems.
